JOB DESCRIPTION



The incumbent will be responsible for ordering and coordinating delivery of concrete in support of field operations. The incumbent will be responsible for managing the daily customer service and dispatch functions for the ready-mix plants. The focus in this role is to exceed the customer and company requirements for Customer service, Quality, and Efficiency.

ACTIVITIES/TASKS/SCOPE



·         Takes all phone calls for ready-mix concrete orders


·         Advises personnel about traffic problems such as construction areas, accidents, congestion, weather conditions, and other hazards


·         Maintains contact with drivers to expedite deliveries


·         Ensures accuracy of orders


·         Monitors personnel or equipment locations and utilization to coordinate service and schedules


·         Must be able to work well under pressure


·         Prepares and enters all concrete orders in Command


·         Assists in resolving issues


·         Data entry duties as assigned


·         Reads or interprets maps or GPS devices to determine vehicle routes


·         Fluctuates daily start and stop times based on customer demand


·         Maintains good customer relations by acting in a professional and courteous manner


·         Assists in training of co-workers as needed


·         Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE



·         High School or Degree or GED required


·         2-3 years of ready-mix concrete experience preferred


·         2-3 years of scheduling and/or dispatch experience preferred


·         Experience using Command software preferred


·         Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel applications experience and use
