We are growing.....and as a result our Merchandising Department has an exciting new position opening as Center Store Supervisor. This individual will ensure the compliance of our stores with care and attention to our Isle and end cap presentation, merchandising layouts and display planner compliance. This position will be a traveling position to our stores, with a Department presence in Melville, NY.

Responsibilities
Will schedule daily store visits to assess the design and layout of merchandise within each of our storesResponsible for planner compliance, reviewing center store standard compliance, review in stock compliance and warehouse DSDWill be responsible for reviewing sign and tag execution in addition to store sanitationAssess backroom for visual appeal, following our processes and proceduresResponsible for being store level point of contact for service issues with DSD VendorsCreate weekly display planner for Director of Center Store approvalResponsible for weekly rotation calendar, verifying compliance through store visitsWill perform weekly competitive price checksAmbassador for Uncle Giuseppes product placement and display merchandisingResponsible for store inventoryReview weekly and YTD sales and GP% results, identifying opportunities and action plans for corrective actionWill be responsible for backdoor receiving and billing processManage the training and development of managers and future leadersOther duties and functions as assigned

Requirements
HS Diploma or equivalentBachelors degree in Merchandising or related field is a plusPrior experience (5+) working in a grocery store environment, focused on Center Store is requiredMust have in depth knowledge of Center Store operations and merchandisingWorking design knowledge of displays, end caps, holiday merchandise rollouts, planning, forecasting and planning executionMust have a strong sense of motivation and urgencyTravel to our stores is essential for this role. Must be willing to travel to our store locations located in NY and NJ

Working Conditions
Most of the time is spent moving about continuously on hard surfaces. There may be a need to frequently position oneself to examine and/or scan merchandise, including bending, climbing, crawling, handling, pulling, reaching, and stooping.May require lifting objects up to 30 pounds. May require lifting and moving heavy and/or awkward objects more than 30 pounds with assistance.Usually in a comfortable indoor environment surrounded by moving machinery and/or loud equipment that may require shouting in order to be heard. There could be exposure to temperature extremes from freezers, ovens, and/or coolers.There may be occasional exposure to cleaning agents.
