Major responsibilities include but are not limited to: Maintenance and cleanliness of the fitness facility and its equipment. Reinforce rules, policies, and procedures of fitness center. Provide personal and group fitness classes for general student population, faculty, and staff. Exercise customer service and administrative skills when necessary.
All staff members have a duty to cooperate with and furnish the NCAA, the conference office or the institution with truthful and complete information concerning involvement in or knowledge of rules violations.
A staff member may be suspended or terminated if found to be involved in deliberate and serious violations of NCAA or CIAA regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree preferred.Current CPR/First Aid Certification required.
Experience
Three (3) years of experience in fitness and training preferred.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Must possess good interpersonal skills.
Must possess a working knowledge of fitness equipment.
Excellent communication skills.
Maintain fitness center in top-notch condition so that it’s safe for all end users.
Always ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Mange all fiscal responsibilities, marketing of center, service issues and implement gym policies.
Prepare work schedules for staff and student workforce.
