The E.W. Scripps Company is hiring for an Assistant Promotions Scheduler. They will accurately schedule promotional spots for assigned business units. Scripps offers a remote work option for this position. This position supports teams located in Eastern and Central time zones and require the person hired to work hours that align with these time zones.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Build and maintain house numbers and enter material instructions for promotional spots. 


• Ensure that promos are scheduled accurately and in accordance with marketing priorities. 


• Adhere to company log release deadlines. 


• Work closely with creative team to track projects, on-air dates, and revisions. 


• Communicate log changes to broadcast operations team when needed. 


• Act as backup/coverage for other promotion schedulers. 
   

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• High school diploma or equivalent required 


• No prior experience required, up to 2 years related experience preferred.  


• Previous broadcast experience especially with ad management and broadcast traffic systems (i.e., Wide Orbit, OSI etc.) preferred 
   

WHAT YOU'LL BRING: 

• Working knowledge of on-air promotions and programming 


• Proficient with MS Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook 


• Organized and detail-oriented with excellent time management skills 


• Thrives in a deadline-driven environment 


• Adaptable, dependable, and eager to learn 


• Able to work independently and as part of a team 


• Strong communication skills
