SparkCognition is seeking an FP&A Associate to join the global finance organization. This person will report to the Sr. FP&A Manager and will support the Executive Team. The candidate will drive value across a broad spectrum of the Company with a particular focus on fiscal year planning and performance, quarterly close and our KPI/metric reporting process, M&A due diligence and supporting a wide range of strategic analysis and decision making. The position requires strong financial reporting, planning, and modeling skills, focus on details and good business judgment. You Will:
Act as a trusted advisor to the Finance Manager, Sr. FP&A Manager, CAO, Corporate Controller, and Chief Strategy Officer
Perform variance and trend analysis for departmental expenses, KPI tracking, and strategic projects, and assist in the preparation of the monthly and quarterly reporting packages and related presentations
Assist in the construction, maintenance, and dissemination of financial performance reporting to key business partners, department heads, and other stakeholders
Build components of the Board of Directors presentations, Investor Relations materials, internal presentations, and play a role in any financing and M&A activities as needed
Support the Accounting team in fiscal close procedures and processes
Proactively collaborate, influence, and align the companys planning and reporting processes to achieve the overall company strategy and financial goals
Work cross functionally to support departmental decision-making with budget and long-term forecasting, planning, reporting and analytics
Partner with the broader organization to drive process and systematic improvements across the Company
Along with the Finance Manager and Sr. FP&A Manager, be responsible for maintaining the Companys financial forecast model which is designed to:
Enable SparkCognition Executive team to build an Annual Operation Plan, incorporating inputs and assumptions and analyze the financial statement impact
Combine historical and forward-looking financials
Provide outputs / KPIs that enable analysis of key conclusions in a simple and transparent manner
Complete other duties and ad hoc responsibilities as assigned
You'll Have
5+ years of FP&A/Finance experience in fast-paced, high growth environments
Prior Enterprise SaaS experience required
FP&A Experience with a public company preferred
Ability to synthesize and present complex data obtained from different system and tools
Exposure to key financial management processes as required in a scaling organization
Willingness and ability to roll up your sleeves and build complex models (using Adaptive Planning, MS Excel, and other planning platforms)
Must demonstrate analytical prowess, strategic thinking, and a command of the details
Extremely well organized, and data driven
Strong learning agility; strong drive and curiosity for independent learning; approaches work with energy, enthusiasm, and positivity
Proactive self-starter capable of driving business results without significant supervision
Ability to deal with conflict, and manage expectations
Previous exposure to headcount and labor expense management a plus
Extreme proficiency with MS PowerPoint, MS Excel/Google Sheets is expected
Experience working with relational databases, data, and reports; SQL, Tableau, and Workday/Anaplan knowledge a plus
