SUMMARY

This is the most senior executive level management position that provides overall global direction and leadership for the development and implementation of CDS Global, Inc. initiatives. Formulates policies, plans, and directs the company. Assumes major fiscal and significant executive level management responsibilities. Responsible for effective operation of company. 

Responsible for the development and execution of the organization's commercial strategy and opportunities. Identifies growth markets, drives revenue and market share growth. Develops an integrated approach to business development, sales, marketing, product development, and the customer experience/interaction. Works with CDS Global senior leadership to support operational growth initiatives. Implements strategies to ensure key operational areas are working collaboratively to achieve profitability and top-line growth. Serves a key role in generating new revenue, growth process design, and creation of efficient processes that deliver high productivity in a model that allows us to scale quickly with success.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  • Serves as the most senior executive level management position that provides overall global direction and leadership for the development and implementation of company initiatives. This is the highest level on the CDS Global executive leadership team. 

  • Appoints executives and other key staff. Assigns and delegate responsibilities to them. 

  • Directs and leads company executive leadership staff consisting of Senior Vice Presidents and Vice Presidents who are responsible for managing division activities and employees.

  • Develops a long-term strategy across each core CDS Global capability aligned with overall digital strategy. 

  • Identifies and executes on initiatives that drive margin expansion either through incremental revenue gains or cost reductions. 

  • Works closely with CDS Global senior leadership to support operational growth initiatives.

Appropriately scales the organization's business during growth periods. Develops an integrated approach to business development, sales, marketing, product development, and the customer experience/interaction. Continuously assesses market and customer analytics. Plays a key role in generating new revenue and growth process design.

  • Leads global strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future initiatives across the organization.

  • Directs, plans, and implements policies, objectives, or activities of company to ensure continuing operations, maximize returns on investments, and increase productivity. 

  • Leads the organization's financial or budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, or increase efficiency. Develops annual budget and Profit and Loss (P&L) forecasting to ensure the company is financially managed properly and in accordance with company objectives. Approves capital requests to be submitted to Hearst.

  • Acts as an advocate for the organization’s vision via regular written and in-person communications with clients and staff.

  • Consults with internal and external stakeholders to define business and system requirements for new initiatives.

  • Promotes and oversees strategic relationships between internal resources and external entities, including government, vendors and clients.

  • Analyzes company operations to evaluate performance of a company, its staff in meeting objectives, and determine areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, or policy change. 

  • Identifies opportunities for the appropriate and cost-effective investment of financial resources.

  • Optimizes resources including personnel, outsourced systems, hardware, and software.

  • Consults with executive leadership staff to recommend reorganization and/or departmental alignment within company.

  • Identifies, analyzes and selects appropriate companies to acquire, partner, and/or form strategic alliances with.  Reviews selections and makes necessary changes to ensure the ongoing success of these relationships.

  • Directs recruitment, development, retention and organization of all staff in accordance with corporate budgetary objectives and personnel policies.

  • Responsible for adherence to applicable laws and regulations.

  • Responsible for business continuity planning.

  • Formulates policy for company according to knowledge of company’s strategic vision, objectives, government regulations and clients’ contract terms. Interprets company policies, purposes and goals to management staff.

  • Prepares, reviews and approves forecasts and projections for employment, financial and business needs.

  • Consults with executive leadership staff to determine information requirements of management, determines boundaries and priorities of new projects, and discusses system capacity and equipment acquisitions.

  • Confers with appropriate staff to ensure cooperation to aid in additional definition for proposed projects.

  • Adheres to company policy as it relates to maintenance of confidential information and/or situations. 

  • Interacts in cooperative and professional manner with all levels of employees, clients and/or vendors in team-oriented environment.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Travels on behalf of CDS Global as needed, required or requested.

  • Assumes additional responsibilities as requested (or required).

EDUCATION AND/OR CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND LICENSING


  • Experience managing and/or directing an operation. 

  • An undergraduate degree in a related discipline is required, and an MBA is preferred. 

  • A minimum of 15 years’ experience of successful and progressively complex business leadership processes centered on growing and maintaining revenue. 

  • Ten or more year’s general management accountability, including P&L experience.

  • Strong negotiating skills especially relating to contracts. 

  • Critical thinking skills.

  • Experience motivating teams in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

  • Experience in fulfillment and/or other industry related to CDS Global businesses.

  • Experience in a for profit company.

  • General understanding of information systems and/or data processing.

  • Comprehensive understanding of CDS Global systems and software.

  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.

  • Demonstrated experience advising and consulting to others on complex matters requiring application of legal, financial, technical and management principles.

  • Demonstrated experience applying creative thinking skills to generate options, visualize possibilities and formulate new approaches.

  • Skills to guide and/or assist management in meeting department and/or division strategic vision.

  • Experience comparing data needed for developing budget, long-range goals and reports.

  • Complex math skills.

  • Thorough knowledge of annual work planning and budgeting.

  • Access to transportation requiring a valid driver’s license, proof of safe driving record, and active insurance.
