Job Description:
Senior Controls Engineer:
Develop, maintain, and improve automation control systems integral processes. Gather data, configure, and integrate numerous process control solutions, including, but not limited to Ovation, Siemens, AB PLC Logix series systems, HMI packages and SCADA systems. Review electrical panel layouts, wiring schematics and BOMs for new equipment. Review and interpret control system, construction, and installation drawings and the development of control system descriptions and training manuals. Provide direction, assistance, and training to maintenance team (technicians/ electricians). Plan and coordinate detailed aspects of engineering work. Position is headquartered in Detroit, MI with travel to client sites in various parts of the U.S., as required. REQs: Bachelors degree in Electrical, Controls, or Mechanical Engineering or related field of study. Foreign academic equivalent degree is acceptable. 5 years exp. in the design, analysis and troubleshooting of control systems as well as PLC programming is required. 3 years of the required exp. must include working with OVATION Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and RSLogix 5000.
