The Quality Control Technician serves as our primary Delegated Supplier Quality Representative (DSQR) for the government, the FAA, and our aerospace customers with source inspection requirements. They serve as the main coordinator of any customer source inspections that require customer inspectors to view the product prior to shipment as well as preparing all quality documentation to support these inspections and maintaining the required training and certification necessary to act as the DSQR for multiple customers .
Quality Control TechnicianEssential Responsibilities
Obtain and maintain required training and certification necessary to act as DQSR for all required customers as well as FAA PMA tag certification.
Completed First Article Inspections and PPAPs including product measurements and over inspection as required for customers and suppliers when necessary.
Coordinate and conduct customer source inspections and assure product acceptance.
Support disposition of non-conformances and be a PACE member for MRB and support response to quality concerns during product manufacturing as a member of TMOS support PACE.
Perform internal audits as required as a member of the internal auditing team and develop/review required quality documents as needed.
Perform outgoing quality audits as required including coordinating product wear testing when needed.
Investigate RGA issues and provide reports to the Quality Manager and responsible Quality Engineer for customer complaints.
Coordinate efforts to obtain customer approval of process and product changes and deviation requests via customer portals and processes.
Support customer visits and external audits, communicate effectively with customers, source inspectors, and present a positive image of Timken at all times.
Education & Experience
Minimum of high school diploma or GED.
Prior experience in Quality specificallywith gauges.
Prior experience with inspection equipment and product identification.
Ability to read and understand blueprints.
Familar with AS9100 quality requirements.
