JOB SUMMARY
Nabors is seeking a Data Analyst for our Center of Excellence. The personnel will apply their data analytics and statistical algorithms skills to help drive key business metrics. The position requires the personnel for reporting related to various KPIs/ scores. Learn from real life business exposure in the oil and gas industry to take your talents to the next level. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collecting, research and interpret data
Analyzing results
Reporting the results back to the relevant members of the business
Identifying patterns and trends in data sets
Working alongside teams within the business or the management team to establish business needs
Defining new data collection and analysis processes
Demonstrate illustrations and visualizations of data communicating results of business impact
Document completed work so others can understand and implement
Able to analyze data and understand the relationships and correlations
Follows procedures and safety guidelines
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
Pursuing final year of university studies towards bachelor’s degree or seeking Masters/PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics and/or Economics, or related coursework
Basic understanding of the following from previous work/classes/research and/or relevant pervious jobs/internships:
data modeling and reporting packages such as Power BI or other visualization languages
analyze large datasets using Python or other scripting languages
write comprehensive reports
Verbal and written communication skills
An analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving
Attention to detail and accuracy
Computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Troubleshooting skills
Ability to work in groups/teams
Ability to perform complex statistical calculations and ability to automate this via a script
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Engineering background – Petroleum engineering with background in data analytics or similar field of engineering.
Ability to generate research ideas.
