We're looking for an experienced Sr. Engineer to join our Enterprise DevOps Tools team. Your main focus will be transitioning our Jira platform into a product-centric instance. This means restructuring it to align all initiatives with specific products and lines of business. You'll ensure that epics, user stories, and all efforts are tied to the relevant teams and products, allowing for better tracking and alignment of development progress.

Your way to impact
Your role involves designing and implementing solutions to support this product/initiative-focused approach. Jira is crucial to our work item management, so you'll be instrumental in enhancing its functionality to align with our convergence vision. This includes implementing best practices for Jira, agile methodologies, optimizing reporting, ensuring integrations, enhancing security, and aligning with the product vision. Our Jira instance, on the cloud, supports thousands of users and integrates with various add-ins that connect multiple departments across the enterprise.
Your day-to-day
Architect and customize Jira cloud instance to fit our organization's specific needs, including workflows, issue types, and project structures. Ensure optimal system performance for seamless interactions.
Collaborate across teams to integrate Jira with other tools like Confluence and Jira Service Manager, utilizing REST APIs and third-party add-ons.
Manage large-scale Jira instances with 15,000+ users, optimizing performance and scalability.
Create custom fields, screens, and dashboards tailored to team requirements. Automate tasks to boost productivity.
Implement robust security measures, including encryption, access controls, and compliance.
Take ownership of all administrative tasks related to workflows, automation, custom fields, schemes, permissions, add-ons, and integrations within Atlassian tools.
Collaborate with Engineers, Change Management, and Release Management to integrate Atlassian tools with the CI/CD stack.
What do you need tobring
10+ years' experience in software development or a related fieldand5+ years' experiencein large enterprise as part of DevOps tools team.
Proficient in Jira administration, configuration, and customization, with expertise in workflows, schemes, and permissions
Knowledgeable about security practices, encryption, access controls, and compliance requirements
Skilled in integrating Jira with other tools like Confluence, GitHub, and Velocity, utilizing REST APIs and webhooks.
Experienced in customizing Jira through third-party applications and API integrations, such as ScriptRunner and Structure.
Capable of evaluating options and determining the most beneficial path based on data and expected outcomes.
