Visual Merchandising is a new capability for Walmart. Our role is to create breakthrough product presentation strategies that balance inspiration with ease in execution, spark discovery and drive conversion across all categories. The Coordinator Visual Merchandising will play a key role in supporting the development of End-to-End Visual process, collaborate with key cross functional partners, and will assist in creating scalable presentations that elevate the in-store experience. They are passionate about visual merchandising, champions of execution excellence, stewards of holistic experiences and ambassadors of an inclusive culture.


Ideal candidates will be able to work through ambiguity, foster connectivity with the cross-functional teams (Merchandising, Product Design, Space Planning, Merch Operations, Marketing, Retail Marketing, Store Operations, etc.), educate and promote visual merchandising as an essential function and be ready to roll-up their sleeves.

Our Marketing team has flexibility on location, for most of our openings, you can live within driving distance to one of our hubs: Bentonville, AR or Hoboken, NJ. We're moving toward 3 days in the office per week, with flexibility.



You will make an impact by:


  • Partnering with team as they introduce the organization to the Visual Merchandising capability, both at Home Office and Field; evangelizing Visual Merchandising as an essential function within Walmart's operating model

  • Working with buyers, design and product development teams to produce clear collection groups based on store count and architecture

  • Partnering with Managers to create presentations that demonstrate the overall brand strategy in alignment with partners

  • Creating support documentations to bring the strategy/initiative to life prior to internal milestones

  • Supporting and assisting in the handoff of visual merchandising presentations and brand strategies to visual communication partners

  • Assisting with the creation of visual guides and provides content for visual merchandising playbooks on optimal product presentation for field support teams; ensures alignment with the Walmart brand proposition.

  • Leveraging data, customer and competitive insights and trend to inform the end-to-end presentation strategies

  • Confirming and implementing visual floor plans in collaboration with space planning and MOD team

  • Organizing visual assets and store information that is clear and understandable for cross-functional partners

  • Supporting development of Visual Merchandising Operating Model / Ways of Working

  • Managing visual merchandising key milestone calendar in partnership with cross-functional teams and project management team

  • Monitoring execution progress and ensuring deliverable quality and clarity of message (e.g., coordinating meetings, developing store lists, capturing key data) for large or complex projects

  • Collaborating with other Marketing groups (e.g., Creative and Design, Customer Experience) and stakeholders outside of Marketing (e.g., Store Planning, Real Estate, Merchandising, Central Operations, external vendors, agency partners) to coordinate implementation tactics for large or complex projects

  • Ensuring business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost- effectiveness




You'll sweep us off our feet if:



  • You can lift up to 50lbs

  • You can observe associate, customer, or supplier behavior

  • You can enter and locate information on computer

  • You can present information to small or large groups and individuals

  • You can communicate effectively in person or by using telecommunications equipment

  • You can creates documents, reports, etc., using a writing instrument (such as a pencil or pen) or computer. Visually verifies information, often in small print.




Minimum Qualifications



  • 2-5 years of Visual Merchandising Experience, including 1+ years of corporate/home office experience

  • Strong communication, organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to work through ambiguity in a fast-paced environment and support multiple complex projects at once

  • Adaptability to organizational changes, fast paced environments and complex structures

  • Aptitude for building strong partnerships, presenting to and influencing across capabilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Sketchup and Adobe Creative Suite

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence leadership

  • Innovative thinker that is grounded in market knowledge and customer insights

  • Travel domestically to and from multiple facilities or work-sites requiring consecutive overnight stays.




Preferred Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Visual Merchandising, Marketing, Art, Design or related field and/or equivalent experience

  • 1+ years' experience in field visual merchandising

  • Experience in Apparel and Home/Hard Goods is a plus

Hoboken, New Jersey US-10279:The annual salary range for this position is $72,000.00-$132,000.00

Bentonville, Arkansas US-09401:The annual salary range for this position is $60,000.00-$110,000.00
